My Journey: From Wall Street to Small Group Leadership
My path to working in church ministry was far from traditional. I studied finance at Temple University in Philadelphia, aiming for a career on Wall Street—which I quickly achieved with JP Morgan. In 2008, I moved to Hoboken, NJ, drawn by its walkable community and proximity to friends, but I found so much more.
I stumbled upon a new church plant called Hoboken Grace (then known as Church at Hoboken), and while it took me some time to get involved, everything changed when I joined my first small group. That’s where my faith and walk with God truly deepened. I was surrounded by men who loved God and others with such sincerity, and I knew I wanted that kind of community in my own life.
A year later, I was invited to work as a volunteer staff member with Chris High, the lead pastor and founder of Hoboken Grace. I began working on the Dinner Groups ministry—starting with just 5 groups in 2009. What started as a small effort has since evolved into something extraordinary.
In December 2012, I made the decision to leave my lucrative investment banking job on Wall Street to follow my passion for building authentic community—and I haven’t looked back since.

My Mission: Helping People Belong
I’ve always been driven by the desire to create community—not just participate in it. Over the years, it’s become clear to me that my purpose is to help people belong. In a world that’s increasingly isolated, this mission has never been more important.
Building a thriving small group system isn’t about having a huge budget; it’s about creating a scalable, sustainable model that fosters spiritual growth and authentic relationships. At Hoboken Grace we’ve done just that. Even as a cash-strapped church plant, we developed a small group system that continues to thrive today, with over 60 groups in a congregation of 1,000. And despite the transient nature of our community, over 70% of our Sunday attendance is actively enrolled in a long-term small group.
I’m passionate about helping people activate their faith. I believe we are designed to live lives of significance, and that happens when we move from the sidelines into transformational community.
Who I Help: Church Leaders & Pastors Seeking Scalable Systems
I work with church leaders, small group pastors, and lead pastors who are looking to create a thriving small group culture within their church. If you’re new to small group ministry, or if you’re a lead pastor seeking to bring deeper meaning to your Sunday sermons by helping your congregation apply what they learn in real-life community, I’m here to help.
The churches that benefit most from my approach are church plants, small, and medium-sized churches that are ready to move from a consumeristic community to one that fosters real, transformational relationships. I help churches develop scalable small group systems that grow with them without breaking the bank.
My Approach: A System That Scales as You Grow
The first step in working with me is an evaluation of your current small group structure. Together, we’ll identify where you want to take your congregation and build a clear roadmap to get there.
My approach is unique because I’ve been where you are. I didn’t just build a ministry from the ground up—I grew with it. As a church planter, I’ve experienced the different seasons of growth firsthand, from starting small to navigating rapid growth. Unlike some larger churches with massive budgets, I know how to build systems that work for small and medium churches. My goal is to coach you in creating something that won’t break the bank, but will scale as your church grows.
The Impact: Transform Your Church’s Small Group Culture
The ultimate impact of our work together will be a congregation that is deeply connected, building authentic relationships, and activating their faith. Your church will have a scalable system that grows alongside your community, supported by people who encourage and partner with each other, and in turn, with the church itself.
